Chapter 1: Frank's P.O.V:

"Our new neighbours have arrived dear!" My mother was looking out of our living room window, watching the moving lorry park outside the house next door. My father wasn't interested and ignored her, eyes transferring back to the television screen.

"Frank, there are two boys that look about your age out their, why don't you go say hello?" I was bored so I figured 'why not?'

I stepped outside into the blazing sun, walking through my gate and up the path to where two boys were standing. The taller boy had black, shiny hair covering the pale skin on his angelic face and his eyes were of a deep hazel colour, you only saw them for short bursts of time, but when you did, you could feel your heart melt inside. He was... Beautiful. The shorter (but not by much) boy had even paler skin, hazel eyes and brown flicky hair.

"Hi, my name is Frank, I live next door to you, number 23." I said confidently, with a welcoming smile on my face.

"Hi! My name is Gerard and this is Mikey, my little brother, I'm 13 and he's 10."

"Hi" Said Mikey shyly, looking down at his feet. A short giggle escaped from my mouth.

"I'm 13 too, do you guys want to hang out?"

"Yeah sure, wait..." Said Gerard, turning around. "MUM!" He shouted. His mother came to he door.

"Mum, me and Mikey are going out with our new friend, Frank. Is that okay?"

"Yes, of course! I'm happy to see you've made a new friend already, just make sure your back by 9 O'clock. Hi Frank!" I waved politely as Gerard and Mikey turned back to me.

"So, what do you want to do?"

"Urm, Frank?" I flashed back to reality to see Gerard looking at me amused. I quickly took the stupid grin off my face as I felt my cheeks burn with embarrassment. I look around to see that me and Gerard were sitting alone in our art classroom.

"Dude, class finished like, 5 minutes ago, what were you thinking about?"

"What? Oh, nothing. I'm just excited that school is over for the week..."

"Of course, I'm just going to pretend that I believe you." I blush again as a smirk appeared on his face.

I let out a short sigh as he got up to leave, wishing we could just stay their a little longer and talk like we used to, before Scarlet came along and ruined it. Scarlet is Gerard's girlfriend, she doesn't deserve Gerard, I don't know who does, but it definitely isn't her.

I stayed quiet on the way back home, I never did like the journey back because Scarlet always joined us for a short distance. Thankfully, she doesn't live close to us, in fact when we get to the school gates she has to go in the opposite direction, but today she is staying at Gerard's place for a couple of hours.

I listen to Gerard, Mikey and Scarlet's conversation, my heart doing little flips whenever I hear Gerard talk. I occasionally giggle to myself whenever Mikey doesn't understand a word as he is only 13, we are 3 years older and like to tease him about it but he knows we're joking. I hope.

As we reached our houses I turned to give Gerard a hug goodbye, not realising the tear that had escaped from my eye.

"Are you crying? What's wrong?" Gerard asked, a concerned look on his face. 'Oh nothing, just the fact that I'm in love with you but that's all.' I thought wiping away the tear.

"Oh, sorry. I didn't realise I was crying." Gerard looking worried hugged me and pulled away. I don't like it when he's worried, so I put on a fake smile but Gerard knew me too well and saw straight through my fake joy, he frowned. I hugged Mikey and then speed-walked down the path, avoiding contact with Scarlet.

The doorbell rang, it was Gerard. I gasped and my heart did that little flippy thing again, just my normal reaction to him, I had gotten used to it by now. I opened the door wider inviting him in and followed him to the living room.

"Frankie, are you okay? You seem to get more depressed everyday." I paused, I wanted to tell him all of the feelings I had for him, but right now I just wanted to have a normal conversation with him, I missed our conversations.

"Yeah, I'm fine, do you want some coffee, your favourite?"

"Well if your sure. You know me too well, I would offer you your favourite thing, but I don't think I could afford a puppy." We giggled as I led him to the kitchen and poured him some coffee.

We were having so much fun, but eventually we got tired and decided it was time for Gerard to go. We arranged to hang out the next day.

"See you tomorrow Gerard, don't worry about knocking, just use your key."

"Bye Frank, same to you." I closed the door and sighed, it was a happy sigh, I'm not used to them.
